BeKord Service Terms

The rules for using the provider-operated BeKord communication service.

Version 2026-08-04Effective 2026-08-04Operator: BeKordReview status: approved

1. The service

BeKord is a provider-operated hosted communication service. BeKord operates the application, service infrastructure, monitoring, backups, and provider administration. A customer receives an account and may create or join logical workspaces inside the shared service; BeKord does not provide customer-owned infrastructure or a self-hosted software license under these Terms.

Features may include workspace channels, direct messages, voice and video, file attachments, roles, permissions, invitations, moderation tools, and integrations. Features can change as the service is maintained, secured, and improved.

2. Accounts and customer administration

You must provide accurate registration information, protect your credentials and recovery methods, and promptly report suspected account compromise. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless BeKord caused the unauthorized access.

Workspace owners and administrators control membership, channels, roles, permissions, moderation, integrations, and workspace content through the controls BeKord provides. Provider-operator authority is separate from customer workspace administration and does not silently grant access through customer content routes.

3. Customer content

You keep responsibility for content you submit and for having the rights needed to submit it. You give BeKord only the permission needed to host, transmit, back up, secure, and display that content to provide the service and comply with these Terms.

Do not submit highly sensitive information unless the available service protections and your workspace rules are appropriate for it. BeKord does not promise end-to-end encryption, dedicated customer infrastructure, or technical inaccessibility to infrastructure administrators.

4. Acceptable use

The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms. You may not use BeKord to harm people, violate law, compromise systems, distribute malicious code, abuse service resources, or evade safety and security controls. Workspace owners must act on abuse within workspaces they control.

BeKord may investigate credible reports, limit access, preserve relevant evidence, or suspend an account or workspace when reasonably necessary to protect people, customers, the service, or legal obligations.

5. Availability, changes, and support

BeKord aims to operate a reliable service but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Planned maintenance, emergency maintenance, dependency failures, security response, and circumstances outside BeKord's reasonable control may affect availability.

Support and security-reporting routes, response expectations, and current service notices are published in the Service & Security Center.

6. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may request account or owned-workspace deletion through the authenticated data controls. A verified deletion request has a seven-day recovery window. BeKord targets operational completion within 30 days after that window, subject to unresolved ownership, safety, fraud, legal-preservation, or technical-integrity issues that are documented with the request.

BeKord may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risk, abuse, or legal necessity. When reasonably possible, BeKord will provide notice and an opportunity to export eligible data. Backup copies are not edited record by record and may retain deleted data until the applicable backup set is retired; restored data remains subject to the deletion record and must not be returned to active use.

7. Service limits and responsibility

The service is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. BeKord is not responsible for customer content, customer administration decisions, or third-party services outside BeKord's control.

These Terms do not create permission to test, disrupt, or access BeKord or another customer's data without authorization. Use the published security-reporting route for suspected vulnerabilities.

8. Changes and contact

BeKord versions these Terms. Material changes will be dated and presented for acceptance before they apply to new registration or continued use where re-acceptance is required. Prior versions and acceptance records are retained with release evidence while the related account exists.

Questions about these Terms can be submitted through the Service & Security Center.
